Event Description

Save the date for Fall Fest-a joint venture between all Young Birders and OYBC Chapters in Ohio. Campout at Hueston Woods. The weekend includes expert led field trips, lectures by park staff, Saturday night keynote by Dr. Mays of the Cincinnati Museum Center's DNA lab. He will discuss Birds/ DNA with a hands-on a demo on bird skinning and creating museum specimens. Dave Russell will lead a Sparrow Workshop and with banding in the field. Save the Date! Hueston Woods State Park, located in Butler and Preble counties, is nearly 3,000 acres of natural resources for outdoor recreation. The park surrounds Acton Lake, with campsites, cabins, and a resort lodge to entice the overnight visitor.
