Ohio Young Birders Club

Encouraging, Educating, and Empowering Tomorrow's Conservation Leaders

Hi All
Queen City Birders trip Saturday to Brookville Lake/Hueston Woods. Very cold and windy (by our standards) and low 20's.
Here are some highlights: Hooded Merg, Common Merg, Goldeneye, Black Vultures (about 25), 20 Sandhill Cranes, Redhead, Canvasback, N. Pintail, Bufflehead, Ring-necked, Mallard, Black. one Redhatch. I might be missing some. We looked for the Golden Eagle at the S. end of Brookville lake but it wasn't seen until the following day (of course). At the Oxbow, (www.oxbowinc.org), someone had 10 Bald Eagles!
