Ohio Young Birders Club

Encouraging, Educating, and Empowering Tomorrow's Conservation Leaders

I received this email from Ben Warner and just wanted to know if any of the Ohio Young Birders have seen the Snowy Owls out at the airport (Cleveland) since our outing on the 24th!

I saw the male Snowy Owl at Burke (posted on the 18th to the listserve I believe) on the 17th. The airport staff probably didn't notice the bird since the snow storm since it is a very white bird. Aaron Boone and Dave Slager also saw it well since they were with me. Careful scanning with a scope is helpful. So checking the airport is still worthwhile, I think the bird must spend a good deal of time out of sight in the rough stuff near the breakwall. Anyways, there it is for what its worth.
