Hi, my name is Chris Knoll and I will be the new Education Director at the Black Swamp Bird Observatory starting real soon. I will be working with Kim Kaufman and all the volunteers who help-out and dedicate there efforts at BSBO.
I went on my first trip with the young birders club of Ohio and had a great time. Everybody was wonderful and I can't wait until the Christmas Bird Count trip on December 21 in Fremont, Ohio. See you all then! Chris
The photo I used is of a Whip-poor-will that was taken at the Magee Marsh Boardwalk back in May. My dear friend Bill Parker took the photo. The Whip-poor-will is my favorite bird in the whole world. The first one I ever saw was on my birthday back in 2000. It came to a tree near- by and sang for about 5 minutes!!! Becky, Kathy, and Shirley took me to a special spot in western, PA where they nest; 8 years ago. It was their birthday present to me and it was the best birthday present I've ever had!!! and this May, I turned 50 years old!!!
