Hi Lukas, I'm sure you probably don't remember this--but many months ago Laura Guerard (who works for Cape May Bird Observatory and has a profile on this site) posted the following link to a Young Birders photo ID quiz on the CMBO site. Here's the...

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm hard pushing it to get there for a couple hours on Saturday. My parents are already mad about it. I have been having fun the past couple of days though, with two new yard birds (Hermit Thrush and Indigo Bunting) making appearances. I'm trying to get to BSBO as early as I can on the 9th 'cause my dad's got Indian's tickets, so I'll have to leave by three.

My dad and I are thinking of dropping by BSBO on May 9th. Will you be banding then? Have you guys reached 500,000 yet? Good luck, and I'll hope to see you there.
Oh yeah, and I saw that article in the Tiffin Advertiser-Tribune. My whole family lives there and they sent it saying that it "might interest me". You are so cool!

Kim,
I was thinking of somehow convincing my parents to go to NW Ohio. Are there still Red Necked Grebes hanging out around there? I still need to see a N. Shrike, Short Eared Owl, Snow Geese, Ross's Geese, Greater White Fronted Geese. There is a Kirtland Bird Club fieldtrip there on the 14th i think. If it doesn't get canceled, i'll probably go

Hello Mrs. Kaufman:
Sorry I didn't respond sooner but school has been really tough and busy, so I haven't had much free time.
I think the site looks great, and is a wonderful idea.
A question, if during my travels I meet other young birders should I tell them about the site? I assume the answer is yes, but I don't know.
Talk to you again soon.

Eric Sibbald
P.S. Say hi to Mr. Kaufman for me. Thank You

Hi Kim,
This network is amazing and I have been taking time to explore all that is has to offer! Very cool!
It was great seeing you and Kenn in Cape May. Things have slowed down a bit yet Jason and I did a mini big day (13 hours) on Monday, Nov. 3rd and turned up 121 species just on Cape Island. We decided to do this once a month for a year and started January 2008. We're not competitive about it and value the days as a way to become more in tune with "who" is here each month. My personal Nov. highlight was hearing 3 individual Eastern Screech-Owls oh and a fly by hummingbird.
